Role Summary
An experienced Scrum Master/Agile Coach is needed for a consulting assignment within a large organisation undergoing a transformation to improve and coordinate its agile product development. The assignment focuses on supporting the consolidation of four previously separate products and backlogs into one unified product with a clearly prioritised common backlog.
You will coach and support 3–4 development teams throughout this transition, helping establish shared ways of working, stronger cross-team collaboration, and effective delivery processes. The role requires a confident agile leader who can drive change pragmatically, create engagement, and enable teams and stakeholders to work toward common product goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach and facilitate 3–4 agile development teams in their day-to-day delivery and continuous improvement work.
- Support the transition from separate products and backlogs to a unified product and prioritised common backlog.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve shared agile processes and ways of working across teams.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and ensure they provide clear value for teams and stakeholders.
- Identify, visualise, and help manage dependencies between teams, product areas, and deliveries.
- Strengthen collaboration and alignment among development teams working toward the same product objectives.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, and business stakeholders to monitor delivery flow and prioritisation.
- Drive data-informed improvement initiatives focused on capacity, delivery predictability, and operational efficiency.
- Use flow-based metrics, including Throughput, Work in Progress (WIP), Lead Time, and Cycle Time, to support improvement efforts.
Technical Stack & Requirements
- Deep practical knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and agile ways of working.
- Hands-on experience using Jira for backlog management, sprint planning, and capacity planning.
- Experience with agile transformation and organisational change management.
- Knowledge of scaled agile frameworks such as SAFe, LeSS, or Nexus is advantageous.
- Experience facilitating work across multiple teams delivering toward a shared product and common backlog.
- Ability to use delivery-flow data and relevant metrics to identify bottlenecks and drive measurable improvements.
