Om jobbet
10% of Europe’s CO₂ emissions are caused by residential heating and energy bills are out of control. Aira is here to change that.
With our intelligent Aira Heat Pump at the heart, we’re making the switch to clean energy-tech easier and more affordable. Helping Europe turn off gas and slashing energy costs one home at a time.
Founded in 2022, and with 800+ employees and counting, Aira is driving the clean energy revolution by providing homes with modern clean energy-tech solutions such as solar power, battery storage solutions and heat pumps. With a state-of-the-art production facility in Poland, and HQ in Stockholm, Sweden, and hubs across the UK, Germany and Italy, Aira is well on track to install clean energy-tech into 5 million homes by 2034.
About the role
You'll join Aira's central data team, working across the entire customer journey, from acquisition and sales to technical design, installation and live heat pump data. Our work has a direct impact on the tools and processes used across Aira.
We're moving from traditional BI towards self-service analytics, where teams can explore data and answer questions themselves. This will allow us to spend less time on ad hoc reporting and more time solving complex problems using statistics, optimisation and machine learning.
The work is varied. One day you might build data models and metrics for self-service analytics, the next you might use machine learning, statistical modelling or thermodynamics to improve how we design and sell our products.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys both sides of that spectrum: strong analytics engineering and quantitative problem solving, combined with a keen business mindset.
What you’ll be doing
- Build and maintain data models and metrics using SQL and dbt.
- Work with Product teams to define KPIs, track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop the semantic layer that powers self-service analytics across Aira.
- Use statistics, experimentation, optimisation and machine learning to improve our products and processes.
- Use AI-assisted tools such as Claude in your day-to-day work.
What you’ll bring to the role
- 3+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data science, machine learning or a similar quantitative role.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
- Experience with data transformation and dimensional data modelling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle problems that don't have an obvious solution.
- An interest in understanding the business and working closely with Product teams to improve how things work.
Bonus
- A strong quantitative background in mathematics, physics, engineering, statistics or a related field.
